Write with Friends
creative writing group for inspiration & community
SUMMER TERM:
14 Sundays, starting July 12th
11am-12:30pm EST via Zoom
This writing group is for new and seasoned writers of all creative genres! To meet as many writerly goals as possible, we alternate between generative writing sessions (garner new inspiration) and accountability sessions (make real progress on your current projects).
The Summer Term runs for 90 minutes per session for 14 weeks, while the Winter Term runs for 2 hours per session for 8 weeks.
Join us to find your community, rediscover the joy in writing, and establish a sustainable writing practice!
During accountability sessions, we will...
- set our intentions for the session;
- do a few 15-30 minute writing sprints; and
- meet in small, genre-specific groups to share our project progress with likeminded writers and ask those questions you've been dying to discuss.
During generative writing sessions, we will...
- read and discuss published works by master writers;
- pick up craft techniques and explore new genres/styles; and
- use guided prompts to start new pieces.
At the end of every session, we'll debrief how writing went. Writers will also have a few opportunities to share short excerpts of their work throughout the 14 weeks.
Please note that you will have one optional opportunity to lightly workshop a piece of your writing. Additionally, writers will not be expected to read or write outside of our sessions — although you are, of course, welcome to do so if you'd like!

To make this writing group as accessible as possible, I'm offering two ways to pay:
Pay Per Session
For writers with a busy/unpredictable schedule and writers seeking a looser writing practice, this is the most flexible option.
To receive the Zoom link, submit your payment and email below before the session you'd like to attend. Come to as many or as few sessions as you'd like and pay when you show up!

The Best Friends Pass
For writers who want to "go all in" and plan on attending at least ten of the fourteen sessions, this is the most cost-effective option.
Pay a lump sum up-front for all fourteen sessions. With the Best Friends Pass, you...
1) get to send me topics you want to explore during generative sessions (before June 23),
2) give yourself extra accountability to show up and write every week, and
